DESCRIPTION

Dead Grid is a card-based strategy game set in a post-apocalyptic world. Discover hundreds of upgradable items. Assemble a squad of elite mercenaries to slaughter hordes of zombies with your arsenal of destruction.

HISTORY

Work on Dead Grid began in 2018 as a solo-developer endeavour. Many aspects of the game were inspired by popular titles like XCOM and Hearthstone, focusing on skill progression, loot and card-based combat.

The first year was a part-time prototyping phase to find a combat system which stands out from the ever growing trend of card games. After the initial pre-alpha feedback from a small group of testers, development shifted to full-time leading up to the Early Access release on Steam.

Every card in play is a dynamic view of a fully 3D environment with optional 3D cutscenes showing combat resolution.
Recruit and gear up a squad of mercenaries from 4 distinct character classes. Eeach character is voice-acted with their own unique personality.
12 skill trees with 60 skills to unlock.
11 attribute stats to fine-tune the combat of each merc.
